Living your pepeha
Our organisation is about the 'lived experience.' How do we live and express our pepeha? How do we remain connected to our maunga, our awa, our moana, our whenua? Our purpose is to guide, to stand by, to support you in understanding what it means to live and express your identity on a day to day level. We utilise face to face sessions when we can or we will utilise online learning to create long distance connections.
Remaining connected
Many of us live away from our traditional marae but that does not mean we have to remain disconnected from it. There are other ways of participating in your marae. We can help you find ways of being connected no matter where you live.
Language learning
Language learning for us is about enjoying the experience. We focus more on speaking language rather than studying it. It is important that the language learning we share can be utilised and put into practice as soon as possible
Cultural connections
The stars remind us of our ancestors, who used them to guide us to the place we live in here in Aotearoa. They are also a constant reminder of our loved ones in the spiritual realm, 'rātau kua whetūrangitia.' You are never alone on your language and culture learning experience!
